Beautiful & amazing sailing adventure through several of the BV islands. It was amazingly well organized and planned. The islands visited and sail boat chosen were perfect. There were 8 of us- 3 couples and 2 male friends. Carlos recruited a friend as our uber expert captain. Looked like a viking.

We learned all sorts of things like

  1. Cooking meals on a moving sail boat (when there are waves) is not a good idea. Male friend #2 got caught holding a very hot pot while we were going through some rough seas. He burnt several delicate places around his lap.

  2. Snorkeling in tini tiny bathing suits (2 of the women) could be dangerous since it caught the attention of other captains causing near collisions;

  3. Barracudas are nice to keep at a distance while snorkeling; if going through rough seas do not eat before: you will need to help the captain with the sails whether you are throwing up or not. (Important note: most of our sailing was in clear, calm ocean).

  4. Sharing is caring: we switched cooking and cleaning responsibilities every lunch and dinner.

  5. Carlos brought along 2 wind surfers and put on a good show of how it should be done. Great teacher.

Very very romantic scenery and islands. I was planning on proposing marriage to my wife in Southern France but under the magical spell of such beautiful islands and sunsets I jumped the gun knowing that at that moment in those islands it was nearly impossible for Nina to say no to my proposal.

So, thank you Carlos for the ride of our lives. And thank you Ania for inviting us to share this wonderful trip with your close friends.
